Cheers guys. If that's normal for it not to creep, I'll just get used to how to handle the accelerator in crawling situations. I guess it's because it's a 'manual' car with an automatic clutch rather than an automatic car!
Although the gear changes seem kinda slow, I'm getting used to it, certainly not a 'problem' as such!
And I'll assume that the flashing number was something simple, like it suggesting that I change gear, as I may have been in 3rd unnecessarily for too long or something like that?
So the only actual gearbox problem I may have is that I can't engage a gear with the engine off, and that funny not-changing-down by itself problem that it did once. The cambelt's booked in for Tuesday, along with a Sele calibration, so hopefully that will put my mind at rest!
