Thought that might get your attention!
Wednesday evening I finally picked up my new GT... new you ask, after only 12 months ownership of my Dijon Blue petrol model?
I ordered a JTDm, and after much deliberation and haggling, ended up going for the 'Monza' spec. (See this thread for discussion on the 2007MY GT's
I've only managed to cover 150Km' so far (due to work & family commitments) so as you can imagine I am quite eager to get out there in it so that I can report back here and pretend to know what I am talking about
I went for a limited edition colour for the MY2007 Monza (or so I'm told)... it is called Argento Silver.. it's a bit of a pearl more so than a metallic - have to say I think it suits the GT far more than my Dijon Blue did, however both have their positives & negatives.
For the interior, I went with the Black/Red leather combo, black embroidered headrest's (Alfa logos) and red stitching around steering wheel & handbrake.
The wheels are 18" 'Monza' alloys - have to say I really really really like them, the suit the car superbly IMO.
As it is very early days, I can't really comment on the engine - but from the limited driving I have done, I am so impressed - it's unreal. So much torque so low down the rev range. The car just wants to keep on going in every gear (granted the power fades fairly rapidly higher up the rev range).
My only concern at the moment is the brakes - lets just say I'm not confident with them - they feel a bit lame in comparison to my previous GT, it's either down to being new or that they need some bleeding or something? They feel somewhat 'spongy'.
Anyway, here is a couple of quick photos I managed to take this evening, please excuse the size - I hope to take some better ones at a trackday tomorrow (No I'm not taking it out
, passenger laps in a friends car).
