Sarah, As other posters have said - it's a bit strange that all four have gone, If they have all gone then I suspect their is another reason for them all to go at the same time.
Owning an Alfa is great -but...
The only sensible advice I would give is to get a second opinion. If you can find an independant garage who deals with Alfa's great, build up a relationship - it's well woth it in the end - Post another message asking other users on the board where to go to in your area. (Don't assume that a main Alfa dealership will be any good). Mine wasn't - I found a good independant garage who saved me £500 quid. I had the dreaded "Motor Control Engine failure" - had 2 Lambda Sensors replaced, then the Dealer suggested that I needed a new ECU. Took the car to the independant garage who diagnosed a faulty battery - Hey Presto - problem solved & £500 saved.
