First time I have polished and waxed my car since purchase in February. Sadly I won't see the results until tommorow, as I only finished at 10 pm.

Taken the EGR valve off for a clean and found that it was a waste of time anyway as the inlet manifold is so coked up it's solid and no gases could possibly pass.

Bought this little kit here in the usa for drilling out crappy alfa deteriorated screws.. Every alfa owner should have one.

Finally managed to fix my left tail light which had been playing up for weeks. The bulb was bad, but the first time I put a new one in it just didn't work. Scoured the internet for possible issues, was afraid I'd need a new rev counter (!)

Even got a new brake pedal switch with no effect. It was actually just a dodgy connection in the bulb holder!

Is why I always test the light whenever I change the bulb before I refit it into the light unit, glad it was something simple

And today disconnected the battery for 10 minutes as the driver's window wasn't working. It was doing the known problem of moving down a few cm every time the door is opened/closed but the switch was having no effect.

All OK again now.

Spent 250 on upper and lower arms for the front, droplinks, ARB bushes and a checkstrap for the drivers door. Ouch!

Installed Xcarlink Bluetooth gizmo...I now have wireless music streaming and handsfree phone calls.

Also intalled a ELM 327 OBD2-II reader that talks to my iPad.....no idea what it's showing me!

Is Torque available for Apple products? I have it on my HTC One and it's faultless when used with my Bluetooth ELM327 for things like extra dials and monitoring a few parameters while on the road. It also comes in useful should I have an issue away from home and can't connect my laptop.

Finally got round to fitting the ghost projector lights to the GT today. Nice and simple installation. I'll post more pics when it's dark for the full effect....

well today was mostly spent replacing my clutch slave cylinder which all of a sudden went on me this morning. i phoned around lots of local garages to try and get it in but no one had time so i decided to tackle the job with a friend and i'm glad we did. the job itself wouldn't have been so bad if the old cylinder wasn't stuck so solid in place but a few persuasive smacks with the trusty old hammer ok more than a few lol. cost me 53 in total which is loads better than garage prices. oh and to top it off now i have an mcsf error which i have read and its not enough egr flow, which is strange yes i have the blanking plate with the 4 holes but have had that in for many months now without any error codes up until now.. Gotta love these alfas lol

Carefully removed my recently fitted 5mm wheel spacers all round. I was experiencing bad steering vibration at around 70mph since fitting them.. And sure enough when i removed them the vibration was gone completely. Shame as the new stance was nice. Looks like i will have to spend some proper money on some H&R and eibach's.

Damien.
