They deny doing it but said it's possible could have happened whilst parked up outside. They seem to be sorting it but we'll see what happens when the bill comes in.

Hope you get it sorted. It does not look too bad and just a dent repair job I'd guess?

James so sorry to hear this mate i know how you must feel..

Get a good dent guy to get it out and send the bill to the place that did your car. It was their responsibility while it was in their care.

Damien.

They have contacted me and I am dropping it off on Tuesday and getting a courtesy car whilst they get it repaired.
To be fair I can't knock the garage for being helpful the whole way through, just seem to be having too many problems along the way.

Finally got around to replacing the split air intake hose on my GT. Had a look in the engine bay yesterday and noticed my electrical tape fix was done too tight and over time had squashed the underneath of the hose inwards leaving a gaping hole.
Runs & sounds better now and hopefully I'll see an improvement in mpg.
Big thanks to the guys at Alfa Workshop for sorting me a replacement and also for lending me the tool so I could reattach that damn hose clip 😔

Cleaned the leather seats in my GT and then my neighbour decided to leave their handbrake off so their car rolled into the side of it

1. Cleaned and lubed the clutch release arm bearings - swore a lot when I thought I'd lost the circlip!
2. Cleaned and lubed the gear selector mechanism
3. Cleaned (no lube) the paintwork in prep for waxing tomorrow
4. H2Go'd the windscreen.
5. Cleaned and conditioned the leather seats, and gave the inside a general clean/tidy up....

Lots of cleaning and lubing today... Fingers crossed the Simoniz Diamond Wax is any good!

Sewed up the stitching that had come apart on the bolster of my drivers seat this afternoon. Actually quite pleased with the results but now need to deal with the little scuffs and scratches in the same area.
Has anyone here done this themselves? I'd like to get the proper stuff so it lasts and has a good colour match with the dark grey/black leather.

Try here Applications used there stuff and it is excellent, plus the leather cleaner they sell knocks spots off all the normal car stuff you can get.

Waxed all over with Simoniz Diamond Wax... Only 2.50 for a bottle in Tesco last week so was worth a go!

Was meant to be an all in one (wax+polish), but not done a huge amount for the swirls/marks... But then again I was using a microfibre cloth rather than an applicator, and didn't really work it into the paint to polish up...

Still finished up nice and shiny! Feels lovely and smooth too!

Phoned up the insurance to begin the repair process, got quotes of 1000 and 1200 to get it sorted, neighbour didn't fancy coughing that much up.

Think they'd look good and suit better than clear ones.

Well productive day under the bonnet of my GT clover. Finally got the parts i needed for my Rutland catch can breather set up. Really pleased with the results, and more importantly keeping ****ty crud out of my boost hoses and breather pipes. Made a small bracket for the filter, and managed to reroute the new piping to the right hand side of the bay making the well engineered beautiful inline little breather can catch a bit of a feature. At the same time did a bit of cleaning and tidy up. Things looking much better under there now.

Massive thanks to Paul, AKA edraven71 for all the info with the can fitting etc.

Damien.
