Here is my story for Birth,
Bought them year ago, covered around 5-6000 km on my 17", driving mostly in town, I also have new shock absorbers, lower wishbones were ok (checked by my mechanic) before fitting them I had new ARB bushes. So all my suspension is OK. BUT after 5-6000 km when I went for a regular check my front left side (looking from inside of the car) when the car was lifted and we did the 9-3 o`clock check we found a big movement.
So the wishbones were not creaking, squeaking or similar, they just have play in them. And, before you say "it can be something else" we were checking for 15 min to make sure that they are the reason for the movement. I did not hit any bump, i drove my car carefully ... I did not put any grease, before, but obviously not doing that is not the reason, since if it was I would experience squeaking.
A friend of mine with his 166, he changed only the bushes, he did perform lubing with Tutela Zeta 2 on he metal collar and same story after 10.000 km they were shot. He also have 17".
So my opinion is that they are "soft" rubber. I would be happy if I use them for 20-30.000 km but this is way too low.
Right one have a very small play, almost 0 on 9 & 3 o`clock. So if they are ok with quality and I wrote my driving story why they are failed... So the thing to be more funny after I fitted the I found Lemforder for almost the same price. I am 100% sure that things would not turn the way they are now. TRW are way too expensive in my country, they are like 100 euros. I am crying when I see how the car parts are cheaper in your country, especially for Alfa. Not to mention that there are some "copies" and you have to be very careful.
If you are interesting in more of my memoirs, let me know
(sorry for my grammar ENG I tried as much as i can)
