Performance brakes and warping
I replaced the front brake discs on my GT with EBC Turbo Groove Brake Discs GD363 last September. Everything was fine until about 2 months ago. The juddering had started.
Went back to the mechanic and he confirmed disc warp and that replacement is necessary.
I am getting it replaced at my expense.
The argument is that the warp was caused by excessive braking (to the point of wheel locking, of which I am not aware and I am the onlu driver!).
They sold me this disc saying that it is "high performance disc". And now they are saying that I shouldn't brake heavily or drive fast or tackle corners. I asked, if this was performance disc, it should handle it, isn't it? The answer is yes, but only to an extent.
