Readers of the thread entitled JTD Cambelts will be familiar with the background to this running sore.
My beautiful car is still languishing in the local dealers workshop. Meridien Milano. This dealer in the form of the Alfa service manager have so far been very good. They even got the engine stripped down in the period between Xmas and New Year. Thanks Rob
The replacement engine has been on order since the beginning of the month and as yet no one knows anything about it. Alfa GB customer services Ėsic Ė are unable to tell what is happening nor are they able say where this engine is. They are even unable to return promised phone calls. Furthermore when I am put on hold whilst they endeavour to check on progress the line then goes dead.
Today I got through to Fiat help and they knew about my problem and even quoted the case number (3770288) but as yet still no call back! Am I surprised !! How long does it take to use the stores computer and/or make a couple of phone calls?
Those who are members of WHICH will note that the latest Car guide gives Alfa the joint lowest score for service. Some 31% only. Just try looking at Lexus.
If Alfa think that they are going to compete with the likes of BMW, Audi, Mercedes and Lexus then they have another think coming.
What in Godís name is going on with these people? Do they really not understand anything about keeping customers on side? In this saga all that is required is common courtesy.
I would welcome any constructive comments from members who are in the dealership or can shed any light on what is going on in the Alfa service headquarters.
What do I do next?
COME ON Alfa I donít really want another make of car (I have owned from new 5 Alfas in the last 30 years) but you really are pushing it now.
