147 Brake Balance

Referring to my 2001 1.6TS 147

It failed its MOT today on front brake balance. Its showing a 30% difference on the front Axel.

I cleaned and greased everything, the front calipers are not seized, the pads can run freely in their channel andthe slider pins move free and easy.

I also changed the brake fluid and bled the system up . All of this has made no difference at all and the car stillppulls to the left under heavy braking.

I have got a spare set of discs pads and calipers in the shed along with carriers from my 156 Sport but I don't know if fitting will make a difference.

Anyone got any clues what might be causing my balance issue.

Swapping to your spare brakes from your shed could be an idea.
If that still doesn't solve it then you may be looking at master-cylinder or possibly something iffy in the ABS unit.

But as you have the bits it only costs time and some brake fluid.
