Alfa GT window Hard Rest

Hi. I have a 54 plate Alfa GT 1.9JTD

The drivers window has stopped working and is just a millimetre or so open, the margin it moves by when you open & close the door

As it won't move a soft reset does not seem to work. How do you undertake a HARD RESET of an electric window, please?

Any help much appreciated

Kind regards.

you could try disconnecting the negative side of the battery for 15 minutes or so, this resets the bodycomputer that controls the windows, amongst other things...

Soft Reset is equal to press down after falling for 10 sec then up for 10 sec after closed?

Yes, the soft reset is the old 10 seconds up, 10 seconds down.

I'll try the battery disconnect, thanks.

I'd read on another thread there was a hard resent involving opening & closing the door (amongst other things) but the message was too vague to work with

I have the same problem with mine, so far I have found that spaying lots of silicon lube down the runners has helped.
