Brake pedal spongy after changing pads
Hello again I havnt been on the forum for a while since the door handle broke last year but was wondering if any one else has experienced this since changing the rear pads.I only changed the pads and no brake lines were disconnected the top was removed from the resovoir. When I pumped the pedal to put pressure back on to the new pads it was fine but then if you keep the pressure on the pedal it slowly sinks towards the floor I also noticed when it has sunk to the floor the handebrake lever goes right to the top.If you pump the pedal it will go hard and the handbrake lever is normal, incidently the brakes work fine as does the ABS. I was thinking it may be air in the system but didn't think you would need to bleed the brakes after changing pads (I never had on any other car). The car is off to Autolusso for its yearly service soon so would welcome any ideas so they could sort it out while its in.Still love the GT after nearly 2 years of Alfa ownership greatl website thanks all
