Replacing Alfa Romeo 147 front badge
Have read other posts on this here and elsewhere but I'm still totally stuck so any help appreciated!
Faded badges, replacements from eBay. Rear was no problem.
Front badge appears to compromise of two parts - dark grey plastic shroud, and the badge itself. The badge is screwed into the shroud, and glued to the bonnet. The grey shroud is attached to the bonnet using a 10mm screw.
I can remove the 10mm socket, and prise off the badge from the bonnet - allowing me to take off the badge still attached to the shroud. The problem is that I cannot remove the badge from the dark grey shroud... Anyone know how?! Tried sockets, alen keys, screwdrivers... The screw attaching the badge to the shroud is seized, and has little purchase on it. I just can't undo the bloody thing! Tried lubrication overnight but nothing grips the little bugger...
Any ideas on getting the badge off the shroud? If I can, then do I reattach the shroud first then the new badge or assemble together first?
Thanks in advance.
