De-code for Alfa nav + connect

Hi, could somebody tell me if firmware software can be used for de-coding an alfa connect + unit with updates?

No, but you can, if you have patience, update the firmware to get around the system asking for the code.

Or you could try getting a friend to remove the negative battery lead just as you try and start the car, to simulate starting the car with a virtualy flat battery, after approx 5 times, the nav will stop asking for the code and your ll be able to use it whilst on the move.

This will also set up a permanent "relationship" with your car and that particular nav unit so it will not ask for the code again, even if you remove the unit and/or disconnect the battery.

The update method is a total PITA to do and needs doing again if the battery is dis-connected, goes flat or the nav is removed.
