Ok, for the 147
, the dealership is correct, you only need the one code for just about everything, as unlike the 156, it's all controlled through the Body ECU.
In the 156
, its is split up into several ECU's. There is the CAR CODE (Also known as Mechanical Code) which allows you to clear/reset faults in the engine & immobiliser ect. (this is NOT the key code!!)
Then there is the "Remote Locking code", the code that allows you to program the REMOTE LOCKING fiunction of the key FOBs to the car.
Now, back to you 147:
I apologise if some of the questions I am about to ask make you feel like a git, but I no idea of your experience or technical ability, ok
1/ How do you KNOW its a mobiliser fault? When you turn the key to MAR does the CODE light go out almost right away, or stays lit?
What faults if ANY, come up on MES ?
