May buy my first Alfa soon, help me decide! (147)
I've decided a 147 is very likely to be on the cards in the near futue! definately in black or dark grey, I'd really love leather but don't want to spend much, no more than £4.5-£5k, so that leaves me pretty much with 1.6's, as 2.o's are always a bit more expensive.
Somebody's told me however that the 1.6's are a bit weedy. What's the general opinion? Surely 120 bhp isn't too shabby for a 1.6?? (Is there just the 120bhp option, or did I read somewhere there's also a 100bhp version?!?!?) (Has to be better than my gutless Bravo 1.6!!)
One thing I'd definately do when I finally get one is fit 17" supersports and lower it 30mm, just to enhance the factory look a touch. The supersports only came on 2lt Lusso's, right? I figured I'll allow £500 to buy myself some from ebay (about £350 for rims only, then tyres from mytyres or the like). Will that give me much scrubbage? 45 profile tyres are the way to go on the supersports aren't they? The Mrs would kill me if I had another car on 40 profile tyres! She hates the harshness!
Does anyone know of a 147 near them that fits the bill? Or is thinking of selling theirs? Must be around 50k miles or less, recent cambelt, black or grey paint, leather a bonus!
Just a little aside- Have I seen on more recent 147's a little chrome 'Lusso' badge in the corner of the front doors? Is that a new thing?
