ECU airbag really in defect ?

Hello from France

Sorry if my english is not very good, I will try !

I have an ALFA 147 1.6TS 2001 with the red airbag light on the dashboard. I also had the yellow passenger airbag light on the dashboard that I solved by soldering all connection under the seats, luggage compartment and then erasing the error codes with VAG/KKL interface and MES software. Currently I have only one defect code "internal error" the code is 01, I can't erase it. Apparently, this is the ECU airbag which is defective, do you think it's can be another component in defect ?

Thanks for your advice.

Airbag ECU Repair |

Would you have someone like the above in France, I would have thought so. From the BMW forum 01 is listed as airbag ECU fault: A/D converter fault. A/D converter is analogue to digital chip.

I found this on the Fiat owners' forum:-

01 Airbag control unit ===> 'Clock Spring' of Steering wheel. But do not rely on that!
