Information request: differences btw 1.9JTD 16V mjet 126hp and 150hp

Hi there folks,

we bought a second hand 147 for my missus, the car is a 2005, 1.9 JTD 16V mjet, restricted down to 126 hp (to reduce company car taxes here in France).

Salesguy told me that the engine is essentially the same as the 150 hp version, including tougher crankshaft and of course the 16V head, but I'd like to know what exactly are the differences - is it just a question of engine management mappings? And if so, is there a known solution to remove the "restriction".

According to the manual, the engine type of this 126 hp version is 937A4000, and the 150 hp version is 937A5000.

Thanks in advance!

PS. it's Selective, Alfa Rosso, with black sports leather seats and electric roof, 17" wheels and with one word: marvellous.

Eper 147 gives 4 16v JTD's. M16 93KW, M17 103KW. M18 136bhp, M19 150 bhp. As far as I can see mechanical engine parts are common to all. Better to confirm this.
