Well a day of greatness. Arrived at Autolusso bright and early. To be taken out in a GTA with eibach pro S with eibach ARB kit..Well the same as i would later be having fitted to Sooty.
Was extremely impressed. And i don't say this lightly. I swore i would never have coilovers on any of my road cars again. Coming from bilstein b16's, i was a bit wary of what to expect from the eibach pro s kit.
I needn't have worried.. The ride is compliant, not overly firm, and has a sense of Germanic quality. Bumps are absorbed without any fuss, and you get a sense of what the car is doing. Perfect compromise for fast road.
That said i have only felt the setup in the GTA and not on my GT yet, as i pick the car up in the morning. Cannot wait to have a dialed chassis again. Its been tough driving a standard GT chassis, after my last one was so well balanced.
Ned recommended fitting different front springs, as the kit springs tend to have a tendency to sit he car too low, which compromises comfort and makes the front end slightly unsettled.
We also chatted about BBK options. Not as clear cut as i thought for fitting Brembo's.
Again big thanks to the Autolusso lads and of course the Ned'meister for guiding me to the eibach kit. Was nice going to Autolusso again, its been a while since my last visit. Its knowledgeable specialists like this that make Alfa ownership such a pleasant experience.
