Clutch pedal friction
Just really want some help trying to diagnose my clutch pedal woes. When I press the clutch pedal down there is some friction, a bit like rubber on steel kind of friction, sort of notchy but not. Doesn't always do it but seems to be worse when cold, the pedal squeaks all of the time.
Has done it since I got the car but seems to be a little worse now, doesn't matter if engine is running or not so pretty sure it's nothing mechanical clutch wise. My guess is maybe something in the pedal area or master cylinder, is there anything other than the master cylinder that could cause this?
I have a second issue that it is difficult to engage gears sometimes, will always go in but needs a little extra force, same again whether engine running or not, never crunches, I'm guessing maybe a linkage problem?
Thanks for your help :-)
