I am on my second GT and both of them have had a clutch in my ownership. The clicking/ticking was there before the clutch change and it's been there after too - on BOTH occasions....in two SEPARATE cars.
For the record, the clutch, DMF, slave and pressure platewas changed on both and the noise (was) and is still there.
I am not saying don't get it done....What I am saying is that if the sole purpose is to try to rid yourself of the noise - don't bother. The only reason I had clutches done is because they needed doing - not to get rid of the ticking. If it needs doing, get it fixed but if it ain't broke - don't fix it! You will find plenty of posts on this "characteristic" and plenty of people are happily driving around without having anything done and, those who are fortunate, are completely oblivious to it!!! Save the cash and enjoy it, like you say!
