Al faking much, ingenious name
part of alfa ownership is the cost indeed.
Inspection and advice
Good tyre fitted and balanced
Mass Air flow meter
Fitting of your turbo hoses
All for £811.20 doesn't sound too unreasonable to me, a quick google of alfa servicing costs indicates it's probably better than the going rate.
Look I'm not on here the fall out with anyone nor tarnish anyone's reputation I mearly want to get my car fixed so I'm sure we can all resolve this between us
I feel that whilst it may not have been the intent, your first post and the responses it has generated, will have tarnished Day and Whites reputation. Many people will not read the whole thread to understand the balance of the situation and only consider the OP.
You could consider requesting a moderator remove the thread to help maintain an amicable situation. Posting a new thread once the situation has been resolved, detailing a resolution to the faults with the car, assisting other owners in their own diagnosis.
If you are after alternative alfa specialists in kent for a second opinion to the susspected lack of performance try posting here (Independent garage Recommendations)
You should really find out what engine you car actually has before trying to compare it to the GT or stating it's underpowered. How have you measured the 0-60 time of 14 seconds? Full fuel tank, slight incline, non straight line, a poor start, loss of power due to cars age, dragging handbrake, counting in your head will all have an accumulative effect in measuring a poor time.
Is it coincidence that the brake light bulb broke as well as the phase sensor 2 months after day and whites had the car?
When I first purchased my 156 SW I was a regular customer at Day and Whites, but they sorted all faults for me as and when they appeared. I seldomly see them now, as thanks to them my car runs and drives lovely and I've had 3 years of fault free alfa ownership.
I'm sure they'll put the car right for you.
