rusty gt rear silla

Hi guys.
I took the grider at my rear sills today and I cant believe how bad a couple of the rust spots are.
Im used yo dealing with rust thanks to previous cars but I was hoping for a different story on the alfa.
I took as much as I could off with grinding disc amd whire wheel, now I currently have bilithamber deox gel doing it's stuff over night so I hope it eats away at that rust for me.
Got some special primer stuff to use once sorted sp hopefully the rust spots wont come back through.

Anyone else noticed a fare amount of rust at rear sills

Where exactly is the rust, marky?
Had a good look under mine last week and its very solid but I hear some GTs suffer worse than others, particularly rear floorpans.
At least you've spotted it before it gets any worse, thinking of waxoyling mine

The rust is mainly right before the rear wheel arches. I notices bubbles in the paint just above my sills so thought better strip it back and see what its like.
Iv also notices some my my front sill but I think that is because someone has jacked it in wrong place n pushed sill in.
I did waxoil mine when I bought it to but it already had 60k miles on when I got it.

My chassis has been wax oiled, the front nearside sill was rotten so its been sanded right back, treated and sprayed. Tbh my GT has a lot of rust, one jacking point was welded last year because it had gone and the other is also damaged but will wait for the mot in june to decide what to do.
