another selespeed issue

Hi Iv used this site before for same issues but Iv finally found time to get at the actuator with a camera from my phone to see were the leak is coming from and it seems to from this black plastic plug at the back of the actuator(picture provided). now just wondering is this is fixable or is the plastic piece replaceable with out buying a hole new actuator which iv been quoted 2300 or a refurbished actuator for around 450
the part is number 5 in the other picture

my question is can this black plastic plug be fix or replaced and save my car and my wallet

The "black plastic plug" is a position sensor and is clearly available separately from Alfa/Fiat.
It is also a common throttle position sensor.
HOWEVER, that part is not responsible for your leak. There will be an internal "O" ring failure which is allowing fluid into that section in the first place.

The actuator may be rebuild-able.

This thread also needs moving out of the 145/146 section and into the 147/156/GT section.

In another thread there are details of the vitron o rings , i will have a look.
my new 156 has a leak in fluid onto the cement and on the back of the gearbox.
Probably the same problem, i will get to it in the next week, just been so busy with other problems with this new car.
