Hope someone can help.
I have an 04plate 147 t.spark, my temp gauge on dash never goes above 90 but today my car seemed to overheat and the expansion tank blew out all the water, also the cooling fan did not kick in?
Any ideas? Thermostat, water pump, blockage or something else?
Looks like the overheating is related to the cooling fans not working,
Could be one of several things, temperature sensor, fan relays, resistor on the radiator,
Try disconnecting the temperature sensor, and then turn on the engine the computer won't get a signal from the temp. Sensor so it will activate the fans with in a few seconds, the fans should run through all their speeds, low, med, high, if they don't then there's your problem,
After disconnecting the temp. Sensor the computer will go into meltdown with warnings,
Don't worry they will eventually go away,
