Yes it was (or we think it was). I've got multiecuscan and we would get it between 28mm and 28.5mm according to the read out.
I had the rod adjusted by a euro specialist, however the system they used always gave me the wrong read out on multiecuscan and the gear shifting was really bad, so I stopped using them.
The rod seemed to slip every 6-8 months, so a retired mechanic mate and I would adjust it when the gear shifting started to play up.
In the past, adjusting the rod has always fix the shifting issues (skipping gears, failing to neutral when in 5th, and things like that) except for when this adjuster snapps.
Last time this happened we lost both the adjuster and the arm which is probably sitting on the side of a road somewhere.
We think the adjusters somehow slipping out of position and ending up on a funny angle somehow and then snapping when the lever tries to action, but no idea whats causing it to fall out of position in the first place.
Somethings triggering it but no idea what.
