Seriously tho, I avarage about 38MPG in my re-mapped 2.4 10v, but i DO drive it hard.
Only supposed to do 42.8 MPG on the combined cycle according to my manual, and the spec`s in all the motoring mags.
Still check out your MAF tho, and maybe run a couple of bottles of "Forte" diesel fuel system cleaner through it, i use it regular.
It will smoke a bit on hard acceleration,but obviously not like a old steam train.
Is it a thick black smoke plume, or just a bit?
