I have a strange problem with my GT.
A while ago the engine light came on when I started it. To it to the garage, and the fault said P1238 Air Quantity. They cleaned out the EGR, checked for other errors, deleted the fault and off i went. Halfway, while driving, it came on again. Took it back, same error.
Then I got an extra MAF to try if that was better. Car pulled alot better, and even after a few starts the Check Engine light stayed off. I went for a 20 mile trip and decided i should top off my tank. Upon restarting the Check Engine light came on again. Same error.
Turbohoses (except MAF-Turbo) are new
EGR is clean but stays at 1%.
Desired air flow vs actual air flow is within spec (dont know the exact values)
Now I think my ECU had a remap because even when booting it the EGR is @ 1%. Letting someone check this out is kind of costly. So is a brand new MAF. I dont mind buying parts, but I dont like spending money on parts that are not broken
The weird thing is that when the errorcode was deleted the car ran fine, plenty of power below 2000RPM. When i restarted it the light came on and i had more smoke and worse powerdelivery below 2000 RPM. Deleting the errorcode gives the same cycle (driving fine, and when restarting it the MCSF comes back).
Do you guys have any idea?
