Warning 2006 Recalls for 147, 156 and GT

There are three new recalls listed on the VOSA site for the 147, GT and 156. VOSA Recalls

R/2006/128: On 147 and GT - Affects braking when using space-saver tyre.

R/2006/166: On 147 and GT - Clutch may fail.

R/2006/170: 156 - May catch fire!!!

Affects cars made after Nov 2001 with VIN numbers between ZAR93200001263798 to ZAR93200001379758 and ZAR93200000193123 to ZAR93200000278968

Yes, the issue with the 156 is that there is a pipe too lose to the exhaust which COULD catch fire!!

Description: Brake pipe may chafe on PAS pipe mounting bracket

Build Date:
Numbers: 29
Defect: The fitting of an incorrect connector between the brake pipe and the master cylinder may cause the brake pipe to chafe on a power steering pipe support bracket. In the worst case this could result in a fluid leak and a reduction in braking efficiency
Action: Replace the connector, brake pipe and seals

No, the catching fire is the additional auxiliary heater fitted to some JTDs.
