2 litre 156 front pipe replacement
I need to replace the front exhaust pipe on my 2 litre 156 twinspark as it looks like the weld has broken at the flex part. I've tried gun gum and allsorts, but to no avail.
anyway I've ordered the new part with a mounting kit and its coming next week. can anyone give me a step by step 'how to' or provide me with common problems encountered when trying to get this bit of the exhaust off the car, bearing in mind it'll be on axle stands in the street with me crawling around under it, probably in the rain as its scotland.
looks like its 2 bolts at the rear and four on the front, and I'll assume they are super tight due to the heat, rust, crud etc. I'll WD40 them before hand, but any tips would be much appreciated.
also is the exhaust under tension and do I need to slacken it off all the way back under the car, or is it a case of old part off, new part on, easy peasy.
thanks in advance
