I was only talking about the twin Spark series. It was scandelous that the 1.8 was put into the GT in the first place.
Alfa really do bugger up the engine choice. The GT would ahve been a better car with the 5 pot diesel.
The 166 also would have benifited from the 1.9 and 2.4 diesel in the UK. It would have sold quite a few more i'd imagine if they had of done that.
You could easily fit the 2.0L Twin spark into a 1.8 GT though for a couple hundred.
However the JTS is the better engine anyway.
