i have 156 v6 24.its been a bit flat lately so i decided to have a play around.took the cat out replaced it with exhaust pipe.then i brought cheep induction filter round with like a trumpet on the end.what i did instead of taking the air box off i just removed air filter then fixed trumpet filter on end of intake pie and secured in place so its at the bumper grill taking cold air.what a differance i cant believe it instant responce it flys like gettin in a different car....any advice what else i can do welcome.
next step would be a custom made stainless steel exhaust system to go from your new de-cat pipe to the back of the car. the pipework should be at 2.5-3 inch diameter for best results, any bigger you lose back pressure which is needed to keep the torque levels up. after than an ECU remap from the likes of angel tuning would be advisable, all in you will notice a huge increase in performance and response.
going to post any photos of your car and what you have done?
