Interior swap

Hi all,

Now my black smoke woes are fixed, its time to customise the old turismo.

Looking to stick a different interior in as the car came with beige alfatex. Not a problem for me, but the kids are already starting to dirty the back of the front seats with their shoes

Anyway, i've seen a nice interior in black (the recaros with the pull out front bits), but it is from a phase1 156. Mine is a facelift model and to me looks identical. Does anyone know if it will fit...if not, which bits won't fit?

I'm prepared for the fact that mine has side airbags and the older interior doesn't.......

Re: Interior swap

Wonder if you'll have problems with the airbags nor being connected? Otherwise I would think it'd fit straight in.

Re: Interior swap

The airbags will be the problem. The airbag ECU is expecting a certain number of airbags and when it is unable to activate them then it turns off ALL the airbags.

Your best bet is to find an interior with the same number of airbags as your current car. I'm sure you can buy resistors to fool the ECU but not sure how well they work.
