Re: 156 1.8ts Ht Leads

I'm a bit confused here. For each cylinder, I thought there was one plug lead going to one plug and one rubber shroud that went straight from the bottom of the coil to the other plug?

I don't have a source for either but I got a spare set from a scrapyard. In doing so, I noticed the following, which might be of some use:

1. The slightest bit of dirt inside the rubber shrouds or on the porcelainof the plugs can cause a misfire.

2. When I pulled the rubber shrouds off the bottom of each of the 4 coils, the copper connectors inside each just crumbled into a pile of verdigris dust.

3. Three out of the 4 coils were cracked. They were fine cracks in the plastic body of the coils round the split line in the moulding.

Try local motorfactors, i got a set from one only £18, not the best quality but at that price you dont expect it.
