Re: Selespeed info
I urgent seek for help on my 156 GTA Selespeed 2004. The problem make me unhappy for year. But my mechanic here or even the only dealer in Hong Kong can't fix it! They can't give me confident and I don't want to use my money to give them a training lesson.
My selespeed problem is:
1)The car jerks when start, or when going to stop from gear 2 to gear 1. It just like in a manual car, you release the clutch too fast. Once the rev up to 1,500rpm and the car start to move, it runs pretty smooth and no gear change problem.
2)Sometimes when I stop my car, take my key out, I suppose the car system will have some self testing program running on gear box. Sometimes the gearbox warning light will flash a few times and then off.
3)Unfortunately this morning, when I am running in highway, I suddenly find that the gear can't shift properly. It can't shift or with slow response. I feel that just like the clutch not releasing well. After a few minutes of running (as I was on the way to office, I really afraid if I stop the car aside, it can't move anymore as stuck in 1st gear), it resumes normal.
My car is around 65000km and I changed the clutch at 35000km. But I changed the pump at around 20000km 2 years ago.
1)the mechanic is unsure on the problem. First he said after self calibration and bleeding then will run better. Not work. Then he said the oil pressure is low but I doubt it (I don't think the pump is so unreliable). And then next time he said the actuator seems has problem and better change it (wow...that is the most expensive part in the selespeed). I don't have confident on what he said.
2)I doubt that is anything related to the clutch engagement. I don't know if there is installation problem when I change the clutch, or really the actuator itself? But I prefer to believe that there is clutch speed sensor problem.
3)I don't know how to say about the "rod" control the clutch engage/release. Is that any chance that they didn't set up good last time during clutch replacing? If not set up good, will it only affect the start up of car? Why I say this because when I drive manual car, we always need to control the clutch more precise when start up then changing gear when moving. So I wonder if the clutch is not moving correctly?
4)I really wonder why always said the actuator has problem and then each time need to replace whole. Not only waste of money but also waste of materials. If really actuator has problem, is there any chance to rebuild it, and fix the problem part inside actuator, instead of simply take it out and throw it away? (indeed same for the pump)
thanks for any help and advice....I really need help....thanks!
