I guess I've been very lucky with my Selespeed, having given me no problems after three years of use. But now it seems to be my turn to repport an issue...
So on my way back from holidays my Selespeed started acting up for the first time.
I was driving in 5th gear and it went to neutral, all of a sudden! I noticed later that the gear indicator would flash when in 2nd and 1st gear. Getting home, I checked the oil level and noticed it was sort of low...
So I topped it up and it all seemed to be ok.
Last Monday I drove to work and all seemed to be fine (nice cool morning). On my way back home at the end of the day (nice an hot day it was...), the gear indicator started to flash again, when in 2nd and 1st gears! When I parked the car at home, I tried several things, such as:
Would shift to 1st and the gear would go up to 3rd; would shift to 2nd and the gear would go to 4th
Could shift up to 5th gear!!!
Yesterday night I plugged the car to my pc and got the following results:
Fault Codes: 1
Fault Code Description:
Failed component code: Pump driver relay (where is this located?)
Fault symptom: Short circuit gnd/open circuit
Other readings are (from the sensors):
Clutch Actuator Position: 29.40mm (way off I know!)
Hydraulic Circuit Pressure: 54.23 bar (engine on)
I'm going to adjust the clutch actuator position tomorrow and check/clean up the electric contacts on the fuse box over the battery to see if the fault persists. After doing the above mentioned I would like to do the Clutch Bleed Routine, to remove any air that might have gotten in the system, as well as the self adjustment of the clutch amongst other routines.
My main question here is, I don't really know how the clutch bleed routine goes... Can anyone help me out on this one, please?
