In the morning when you enter the car after you have left it all night, how long does the pump prime? It should prime about 7 seconds. Check selespeed oil level. Should be on MAX. Turn key to "MAR", wait for prime has finished, open the container, wipe off, check level. If not on max, top up. Selespeed Oil should be changed every year. It gets worn. You could buy Castrol Dexron III instead of Selenia Tutela CS. It's a bit thicker and better for your TS og JTS Selespeed (NOT GTA!).
The british blokes on this forum could recommend a indie garage around where you live.
The pressure should be around 40-55 bar. Try setting the car in "MAR", wait for the yellow passenger airbag light to stop flashing. Then change gear on the gear lever back and forth 1-2-1-R-1-2 and so forth. The pump should run every 2 shifts.
It could also be a problem with your clutch push rod not being in the right position. It should measure between 27,5 - 28,5 mm. That, together with the selespeed oil pressure can be checked with the Examiner at the garage or by a fellow Alfista with a OBDcable and Alfadiag (€60 at alfadiag.net) Cable is max £20.
The symptoms could be pump.
NEVER EVER accept that a garage tells you to replace the entire actuator. All the parts can be ordered seperately at Alfa Romeo / Fiat. They will deny if you ask directly, but if you have the spare numbers, they'll have to sell it to you. The same parts goes for ex. Fiat Stilo.
It could be a pressure issue because of a leaky accumulator - can also be ordered seperately - remember ALL parts can!
Last possibility I know of - and I'm not a mechanic, could be the EV0 solenoid on the actuator running the clucth engage and disengage. Can also be ordered seperately.
If you cars has other sicknesses, please tell - then it'll be easier to find the problem.
Maybe you only need a calibration of the actuator - costs around ½-1 hour labour.
You're welcome to write me here again for numbers on spares and such.
