I thought a diesel was the answer to my problems but maybe not, so help me out!
I used to own a VTEC Honda which offered 25-30MPG and lacked real torque until 5500RPM. As a result I figured a diesel would alleviate these two issues (econhomy and torque)
My new job will mean a short 8miles there and 8 back mon to Fri. I would also like something the GF and I can use when we travel 20-30 Miles plus on a night out etc. Would I see pretty poor MPG from such a short commute in a diesel? WOuld the petrol version therfore be a better bet in this respect?
Does the 2.0l offer decent torque low down?
Willber G - yur car does look appealing, perhaps i should have a gander. The only other concern I have is the suspension mods you have. Did you declare these on insurance, as I'm certain this may cost me a fair bit more to have it all above board from an insurance perspective.
Also you say it handles well. Does that mean as in in a racing perspective?! As I had Koni and Eibach (& big wheels) on my Honda funnily enough, and found it a little unforgiving on the **** poor roads near me.
Peterboat send me some pics/info if you could.
