Alfa 156 V6 - two years on

This weekend marked another hassle free MOT pass for my much loved V6, so thought it would be a fitting time to post here and say a few words about my (nearly) 2 years of ownership.

I've heard it said many times that Alfa's of this vintage are more reliable with constant use, however mine does around 4 miles a week with a 120 mile run thrown in every 6 weeks and then sometimes (as was the case a month ago) a 750 mile blast to and around North Wales, yet it has been totally reliable even with this varied usage.

I can't think of anything else that can do so much whilst sounding so good for so little money. That said, a 25mpg average would be annoying if I was doing proper miles - even my mates A45 AMG manages at least 32!

One question I have - occasionally the rev counter jumps and even reads revs even after the engine is off! Has anyone else experienced this?

Finally, here's a picture:
