How would a JTS engine compare to a JTD

Looking for another SW….I have a 1.9 at the moment.

How would a JTS engine compare it terms of performance and economy?

I had a 156JTS previously and thought it was great. It was quick with a nice surge of power after about 3k rpm. It was fairly thirsty though, I averaged around 35mpg combined.
I've recently picked up a GT 1.9JTDm and I have to say I kinda prefer it in many ways. It may not be as quick to 60 as the petrol, but do you really need good 0-60 times in every day life?
The JTDm is torquey and economical and if you look after it very reliable. It'll keep up with the petrol engined cars all day long in real driving terms too. For all your valeting and detailing needs.

If you're going to replace your current 1.9JTD - I would go for another JTD If I where you (maybe 2.4?). If it is a parallel car (2nd car) - go petrol - you then have best of both.
