Radio death after refitting Bose amp
Finally got a replacement Bose amp from ebay after realising that I was sold the car without the amp - factory fitted Bose system in a 156 JTS Lusso '03 old shape.
On plugging the replacement amp in (thankfully whoever removed it just unplugged it) a 10 amp fuse blew taking out fuel and temp gauge - no problem.
Next attempt, radio asked for code - no problem - then lots of loud crackling from the speakers and the whole radio is dead - no lights, no code request - blank screen. All fuses in block next to the steering wheel check out fine.
Will check fuses near battery tomorrow am. Is there a fuse behind the radio that may have gone?
Is it terminally fried?
...and here's me thinking i could just plug a replacement in...
thanks for listening
