Had my 3.2 GT for a few years now. I looked at diesel before I bought it, both good cars, both pretty quick both reliable if looked after.
Servicing costs will be similar too I would think, especially if the 3.2 has had the major stuff done recently.
Performance wise there isn't much in it in normal road driving as both are plenty fast enough for someone else to be in the way most of the time. The 3.2 does have the edge though if you want to be a hooligan, the noise is addictive and taking the long way home is hard to resist. The diesel is good though if you like the way it delivers its power, I just like the way the 3.2 lets you use the revs.
For me the biggest thing would be the mileage you cover, in the 3.2 with normal commuting a tank of fuel will last 200 - 250 miles normally, more if you sit on the motorway but not a lot, best I've managed is 320 and I was very bored. For me a tank still lasts two weeks so its fine.
