Finally got 'round to tackling some of the issues with the 147.
Placed an order for two Monroe shocks for the rear corners and set about battling (cheers to my brother for having a driveway
It took me 8 hours to replace one!!!
Rusted bolts, I broke a ratchet, and was sat fighting a drop link for nearly two hours.
Oh my lord.
So I still need to replace the driver's side, need to replace the thermostat and the power steering pipes. Thing is, I'm finding myself doubling every estimate I had for the jobs.
I'm using Snap-On tools, etc etc etc, and still!
That'll teach me for buying a twelve year old car and expecting to have an easy time of it.
That first shock has made a huge difference though. It was bottoming out in the corners, no damping at all on the one on previously, so I find myself wanting to do the other.
So as I say, lots of things to do!
