Re: Goodyear F1 Eagles GS-D3's v GS-D2's
GSD3's are a very good tyre, and excellent value.
I have used about 5 sets I think, before switching to Michelin Pilot Sport 2's (i.e. PS2's).
The Goodyears grip well, wet or dry, but are a little noisey and don't wear hugely well (not bad though).
The Michelins are defintely better in the dry, and within a whisker of the Goodyears in the wet.
The PS2's are also very progressive wet or dry, last longer and hugely more refined for noise.
The ride quality of the PS2's doesn't tail off as quickly as on the Goodyears.
For track use the PS'2 are defintely better and have WAY more heat resistance for powerful FWD cars which really tend to chew up tyres and expose any tendancy to overheat quickly.
Despite this, the Goodyears really are good value since the PS'2 are pretty expensive.
I'm not a doctor - but I really do recommend braking later
