Help no power after disconnecting temp sensor
I was playing with the Alfa 156 2.4 JTD 10v at the weekend as the fans weren't coming on I thought I would perform some tests.
Reading on some of the threads here I noticed that the fans should come on if I disconnected the temp sensor, so I did, and sure enough fans came on. Great maybe a duff temp sensor or gauge is reading high.
I started the car with sensor still disconnected and it ran horrible and chucked out lots of white smoke..., plugged it back in and it was ok so I left it like that.
I then plugged in a tuning box I had just bought from a member on here, went down the road and it was like it had no turbo, dam so I removed it.
Anyway the wife this morning uses the car and says it has no power.. ummm could it need an ECU reset? Has it got in some default mode since I removed the temp sensor? she also said after a while the heater blew cold air!!
