Alfa 156 - ECU Light

Hello people...

I've had my Alfa 156 for about 2 months and today whilst driving the Engine Control System light came on and stayed on, I pulled over and kept it running and it seemed fine... I've stopped the car since and restarted with no problems but the light stays on...

It's now in the garage, hopefully being looked at tomorrow morning or Monday failing that, does anybody have any ideas?

It's a 1.6 T-SPARK 156 with 23456 miles on the clock...

Any help or advice would be appreciated!

Re: Alfa 156 - ECU Light

unfortunately without plugging a computer into it, it could be pretty much anything. try not to worry to much, and if the garage say its the MAF or anything minor tell them you will have a think about it and ask them to reset the light. if it doesnt come back on ignore it. as mike says, the alfas electrics are full of little gremlins!

the fact that the car was running fine and still is suggests its just been a blip but the dealer is likely to try and extract every penny you have... give her the benefit of the doubt eh

Re: Alfa 156 - ECU Light

ask the alfa dealership for a copy of the print out of the examiner,it tell you of a lot of information ,remember if you paid for a diagnostic you want to see the print out
