Help Gear change noise (147 2.0TS sele )

functionally not problem at this moment.
However ,I wonder it could become big problem in future.
Question is only when I change the gear up to 2nd and 3rd ,there are clashing noise(rather noisy gear engage sound).
When gear down ,it is so smooth as usual.
car mileage is 56,000Km (34,800miles)and clutch adjustment is perfect .
I have calibrated the sele and gear system, however it did not change.
I do not know anyone to ask locally, so anyone out there please makes to me relax.

I have the EXACT same problem on my selespeed at the moment.......its the synchromech gone in the gearbox.

Ive done the whole calibration, check clutch rod length, gearbox fluid levels etc.... and all is spot on.

The cheapest option is to find a replacement box second hand.

I do know that there are companies who can refurbish your box....Autolusso in Bournemouth I've heard are very good at this...I've got the figure of 500 in my head for some reason??

good luck

Edit: just to 100% confirm were on the same wave length....its a similar noise to manual gearbox when you havent put your foot down on the clutch enough to change gear. like a grinding noise.

Ive genuinely thrown several good sele boxes away recently ive one coming in but i cannot be bothered to remove the box to earn 50 which is the amount you can expect to pay on ebay. The age of the cars and the cost of labour mean most people dont bother fixing the car unless they are diy repairers thats why i scrap the boxes nowadays unlike a few years ago.
