147 Q2 reviews

has anyone read the reviews of the new Q2 yet? You can find them here:

and autocar has one too but i think you have to buy the mag.

I just love the oppressive journalism here:

'And that’s not the only downside. The Q2 drivetrain will initially only appear on flagship diesel versions of the 147 and GT, before spreading to other models in Alfa’s line-up.'

The writer seems to like how the Q2 drivetrain performs, but finishes on a down because it is not fitted to other models. So Alfa could produce the best all round car ever, but the review would just finish on saying how bad the rest of the range was. Surely the point is to review the CAR, not the BRAND or RANGE.

It looks better inside and out than any competition on the road. They speak of the Leons 'dark' interior, have they actually sat inside one?As dull as dishwater on a sunday afternoon i think. How can a cupra look the same as everything else on the inside. In a world obsessed with image, i think alfa's looks are sorely understated when we are surrounded by rounded boxes on wheels.

I am pleased that an alfa actually got 4 stars in a mainstream review. But Autocar only gave it 3, even though the article seems to be a copy of the autoexpress one, or vice versa. Autocar asknolwledges the cars looks inside and out, even uses the word special. It comments on its hot hatch handling, Q2 and great engine and then states it as 'nearer to the car it should have been'. What else can they do? Give it away??

I just think they cant get away from the Golf/Audi mentality. These drivers/writers have no soul.

Re: 147 Q2 reviews

I was wondering when the facelifted model was going to appear.

The return of the chrome splitters in the bumper grille is well overdue.

The satin finishing on the mirrors and grill is gorgeous!

Re: 147 Q2 reviews

Not sure if we are actually reading the same review????

"Before you even climb aboard, you know there’s something special about the 147 Q2"

Only complaints are body roll and the fact that the Q2 is not on "powerful petrol models and expensive at UK1000 pounds...
This is about as positive that Alfa Romeo are going to get!

HMMMM Powerful petrol engines...
Certainly cannot be talking about the "big' 2.0 Litre engine thats for sure.
Yet these days there is nothing bigger.....
