As a total newbie in all things Alfa, i decided to browse around at pictures to see which one grabbed my attention...and it was the GT. I did a little digging and found that they do a deisel version with similar MPG to my current car (1 series coupe....i hope thats not like swearing here? lol). Ive been to look at one today and at £5k for a car with 40k on the clock its half what would be spending on an equiv BMW 3 series. So by now im kind of hooked.
I have an annoying tendency to buy now...research later. So this time around i thought i would try and be clever and pick the brains of people who are already where i want to be...driving an Alfa GT
So with that in mind i have a few questions if anybody would be so kind as to answer them?
1. What is cloverleaf? Ive seen the wiki definition but i wondered what it actually meant with the GT? What do you get different to a non-cloverleaf version?
2. I have seen one or two adverts of GTs with chrome / metalic mesh in place of the black plastic looking mesh more commonly seen on the front bumper grills. Is this aftermarket? An upgrade? (i can post a pic to links if thats allowed).
3. What optional extras should i look out for? I have noticed things like a bose sound system, the GT comfort pack etc. for years i have bought second hand cars only to find out i should have looked for one with this extra, that extra. so it would be nice to hear recommendations before hand for a change lol.
4. Is there anything glaringly obvious a potential GT owner should know?
thanks in advance all, and if this info is easy to find for myself please tell me to shut up and kindly point me in the right direction
