GT Inner Track Rod Ends

Just thought I'd share this experience and also see if anyone else has encountered this issue. My friendly mechanic diagnosed that I needed a new inner track rod end so I duly bought one for him to fit. On taking off the old one he found it to differ from the replacement part as the original ones were just a straight bar but the replacements had a bulge just down from the inner connection. On speaking with alfaparts they assured me that the replacement was the right type and that maybe a different model's were put on during manufacture. On investigating the internet I cannot find any inner track rod ends that are similar to the ones originally fitted. Have now replaced both sides with new ones but wondered if anyone else has found this? My car has had to be tracked at least twice a year as the slightest bit out and it chews the inner edges of the front tyres. Wonder if this might have been down to the different track rod ends?

track rod ends for the gt are curved forwards, the shaft can be different lengths and styles i have seen this
i dont think its possible to fit them to the wrong side as it would be miles out

as the car been 4 wheel tracked or just the there play in the top or bottom wishbones? as underload that will affect the way the wheel sits
