Well had a productive weekend just gone ..... got the rear subframe off along with the shocks, springs, anti roll bar and trailing arms (started stripping it all off 2 weeks ago but was running our of time).......first of all I'd like to say thanks for the advise regarding the transverse arm to hub bolt, what a pain in the **** that was to get off!!! all in all it took be about 3 hours to get both bolts off the shocks but worth while in the end.
However I couldn't get the abs sensors off in one piece
so will need some replacements at some point, plus the stabilizer arms (I think that's what they are called) attached to the anti roll bar wouldnt come off, I think at some point in their life someone had rounded off the torque head on both sides
so had to cut those but not big deal.
Could someone tell me what size the hub nut is? must be 34 or 36 i guess? but all my socket sets would go that high so will pop out this weekend to get the correct socket.
Had to cut the brake lines in the end
so will be fitting new copper brake pipes which should be interesting....
Here's a few pictures of the parts comming off..
Suspension kit has been ordered and should be here in the next 2 weeks and will be ordering the trailing arms and some poly bushes Friday, so slowly but surely coming along nicely
